Dog thefts are increasing across Scotland. Violence is being used in more and more cases and people are now afraid to walk their dogs in broad daylight. This is not the Scotland we want to live in.

Sentencing for this crime needs to be reviewed with custodial sentences being passed. Dogs are companions to the elderly and part of the family they need to be protected with deterrents in place to stop this awful crime. To be unable to walk a dog in broad daylight in Scotland is simply not acceptable and politicians and the justice department must act!
