Orem City is planning to annex Utah County land in the Lakeview area and encourage housing development. Instead, we propose preserving the land for agricultural development that encourages local farmers and greatly benefits Utah citizens. 

Local farms provide Utah citizens with:

     -local and fresh foods

     -an agricultural industry to benefit the city's economy

     -local food security (should the national or foreign food system weaken)

     -an educational experience

     -a place of recreation and natural beauty (comparable to a city park)

Help us protect, preserve, and develop Orem's LAST available land for agriculture.
