According to Transurbans figures 76,000 vehicles travel this road every day. The motorists using Mt. Lindesay Highway are constantly faced with congestion; people illegally stopping to allow traffic at the stop sign to cross over the Mt. Lindesay Highway to enter the west bound Logan Motorway.  This illegal practice creates potential accidents each day The traffic situation will become worse overtime with the new developments taking place at Flagstone, Yarrabilba and other southern residential developments. The Ministers have the control to close off the right hand turn immediately, directing traffic onto the Johnson Road loop, thereby making it a safer option in the short term.  The second agenda is to prevent the installation of multiple sets of traffic lights, one set being at the right hand turn as per Transurban proposal and review alternatives such as an overpass/underpass.  Our families and friends have no alternative but to use this stretch of road each day to reach their place of work.  We need to tell the Ministers and Transurban we will not accept their option of more traffic lights.    Please sign our petition calling for the Ministers to immediately close this dangerous right hand turn, and plan for an overpass as a safer alternative.
