Today on Wednesday 14th October, the worst update in gaming history came out. This was for the PS4. It changed the way parties work and is a complete privacy invasion. To be able to make a party you now must be in a message group chat with each other and anyone you want to add to the party have to be there too. This is bad as people may not want to be in the group chat as well as other reasons that are obvious enough they don’t need explaining. In order to stay in the party, there must be another person in the party with you. This can be countered by making a chat with an alt account but that’s just annoying and stupid. People may want to create a party with themselves in it only so they don’t have to listen to people in game chat but now they can’t. The worst part of this update is all party audio is recorded, meaning someone can report you, Sony files through your audio and messages, picks a swear word or dark humour joke when you were bantering about with friends and boom, you’re banned. Being banned means your library is locked so you can’t download games or play online and in most serious cases you get permanently banned. What else do they do with this audio, where does it go? We will never know. Hopefully you will sign this petition and spread the word across social media. You can check PlayStations Twitter account and look at their most recent post and see all the hate they are getting. This truly is a disgusting and atrocious update. Change it PlayStation, way to end a consoles generation.
