Blue was picked up loose in the desert with his mother and father after being involved with a javelina attack. His mother and father were able to leave the shelter but since their 8 month old puppy Blue did not have his rabies shot he has been sentenced for 6 long months in a kennel. He hasn't even seen sunlight in this time. Upon talking to the owners they also said the dogs were involved with killing a baby calf on their ranch. When the incident happened the owners express their love for him and agreed to redeem Blue (previously known as Stinker) on 9/9/14 but have not showed up to bring him home. He is now scheduled to die in a few days. Since Blue is declared a DD he cannot be released to rescue groups and will not be eligible to be adopted out. 

We are trying to see if Blue can go to a corrections facility or some other option to live out the rest of his life instead of being sentenced to death. Blue is only 14 months old and has NEVER showed any signs of aggression at the county shelter for the 6+ months that he has been living there. Blue is full of love and probably one of the happiest dogs at the shelter. He walks by the other dogs kenneled and never shows aggression to them. He loves his fisbee, bowling ball, and we catch him playing with his food bowl all the time. He also has a habit of flipping his bowl over to cover his poopies because he doesn't like to see or smell it. Blue is a wonderful dog that wasn't being taken care of properly in the beginning of his life as the past incidents could have been avoided. If Blue had his $13 rabies vaccination none of this would be an issue today.

We have support from dog trainers, shelter volunteers, rescues, animal lovers, and even pet stores to supply his food if he would be allowed to go to a facility and other means of housing.
