The TISD School Board is meeting on November 14, 2023.  They have not listened to the numerous attempts to voice our disapproval of the location of the new Tomball Intermediate. Emails, phone calls, and Board meeting presence have not been enough for the Board to seriously reconsider their decision to fund the new school. 

We are holding a two day, NO ATTENDANCE STRIKE to make our voices heard on Monday, November 13th and Tuesday, November 14th.  To make the biggest impact please keep your children home from school these two days.  We encourage working parents to ask a friend or relative to help with childcare.  At minimum, we ask that you keep your children out until at least 10:30am, after attendance has been taken.

This NO ATTENDANCE STRIKE is intended to make the Board realize how seriously the Creekside residents take this matter. The Tomball ISD Board prides itself on its reputation and its financial responsibility. By using our power to affect both of those on these two days; hopefully, they will reconsider their vote to fund the new intermediate school.

We understand that many people support our cause but we ask that you only sign this petition if you intend on keeping your children out of school until attendance is taken.  We hope to gain at least 25% participation from each of the Creekside elementary schools. 

We intend to make our disapproval with the Intermediate location loudly heard. We will be contacting various media outlets to cover the story. We are encouraging parents to peacefully protest outside of the District Administration Building from 8:00am - 10:00am and 4:30pm - 6:30pm both days. It is important that we only peacefully protest at the District Administration Building and not interrupt the school day of those students that are attending school.

We are using a petition through change.org so we can provide complete transparency to the Board in proving how much support this movement has. We appreciate the support of the community, but please only sign this petition if you plan to keep your kids home at least until attendance is taken on November 13th and/or November 14th.
