Misfit Market has a great story of food rescue. However, they knowingly continue to pack their foods in plastic wrap/padding that claims to be "curbside recyclable" when in fact, it is not at all in Massachusetts, and most states where it does business. In doing so, they

- put workers at recycling centers (MRFs - Material Recovery Facilities) in harm's way,

- damage their equipment,

- drive up costs that make recycling too expensive,

- completely undermine recycling education efforts with residents - contributing to ever-growing frustration and unwillingness to fully participate.

Please demand Misfit Market to stop their greenwashing immediately and take responsibility for EVERYTHING they provide consumers. Extended Producer Responsibility is the only way we will get to a circular economy.
