The number of non-AC buses in ITPL - Majestic route via Kundanahalli colony is woefully inadequate. An RTI filed in this regard revealed that while there are 47 Volvo A/C buses on this route, the number of non-A/C buses was merely 12. There is a significantly large population living in various areas across this route (specifically in Marathahalli and Kundanahalli whom we have interacted with) that commute daily on this route. Heavily crowded non-A/C buses are a common sight on this route and commuters including school children (student pass holders who are allowed only on non A/C buses!) and Patients coming to Vydehi and Satya Sai Hospital suffer a lot.  

We had earlier launched a post card campaign with letters from 200 commuters participating in it. We have also filed requests on the BMTC website. However there has been no action from BMTC to date.

Hoping that this petition will help BMTC to take cognizance of this urgent need in this area and increase the number of non A/C bus service to atleast 25.
