In Kilmore, we don't have a public high school. My daughter, who's just 13, leaves the house at 7:30 am and gets back around 5:00 pm. All this travel means she barely has time left for the fun stuff – like sports, games, or just hanging out.

And it's not just my family. As Kilmore’s population keeps growing, we urgently need our own public high school, as all the other high schools have reached tipping point. 

The Victorian Government's already acknowledged how important it is to plan for new schools to match population growth through its Victoria's School Building Boom Program.

We’ve got a great chance, old Colmont School grounds are up for sale, and this could be just the solution we’ve been waiting for.  This isn't just an empty lot, it's a school waiting to be filled with our kids’ laughter and learning.

Several private schools have already shown interest since the sale began. That’s why we need to act fast and ensure our community's voice is heard loud and clear: we need a public high school in Kilmore.

We can't let this opportunity slip through our fingers. So, let's come together and make sure the decision-makers know getting a high school in Kilmore isn't just nice to have, it's a must-have. Help us to advocate for a new high school right here in Kilmore. It's high time we made this a priority.
