SUNY should reject the current application to approve additional Success Academy Charter Schools in CSD2 and CSD3, especially without predetermined locations for the schools.

The Issue

We support CEC3 in their request for a moratorium on new charter approvals unless and until a full audit of existing co-located charters and their compliance with the law - including marketing, enrollment, student retention, and disciplinary policies - has been undertaken by the New York City Comptroller and the New York City Council and the state legislature increases funding to New York City's public schools in accordance with the Campaign for Fiscal Equity Supreme Court decision.
