This is important because we as people have an obligation to treat animals with dignity and respect. This exhibit shows a lack of compassion and understanding of these majestic creatures. If we must keep them in confinement.. then we should at least make every effort possible to give them a justified life. These animals need more than just concrete and a few piles of straw. This was multi-million dollar project, and it's just hard to beleive that there isn't even a banana tree! It resembles a concrete prison.  I ask you to sign my petition, because these animals cannot speak for themselves. I went to see them on my birthday.. and I cried. I had to look away. The pain I felt in my heart was a reflection of the pain I saw in the orangutans eyes that day. It broke my heart.
