This is not just my story; it mirrors the experiences of countless tenants across our nation who are at the mercy of private landlords.

The lack of regulation on private landlords' ability to increase rents annually is causing severe financial strain on many households.

We believe that it's time for change and call upon our lawmakers to implement legislation that caps annual rent increases by private landlords. Such measures have been successfully implemented on social housing to 7%.

Through this petition, we seek similar protections for all tenants across our nation against exorbitant and unregulated rent hikes by private landlords.
