Please don't let Me, my Mom and 41 other horses DIE

Please don't let Me, my Mom and 41 other horses DIE
The Issue
Make Wells Fargo, Bank of America, and Lassen County pay for the horses they are responsible for. For almost three years The Grace Foundation has provided all feed and care for 42 Lassen horses. Grace and the Courts have been lied to and it has recently been discovered that the horses are in fact part of the criminal animal cruelty charges filed in Lassen County, which makes the horses the responsibility of Lassen County and the Banks. Now Grace is out of money and can't feed the horses and Lassen County refuses to authorize medical treatment. Without your help, the horses will soon be returned to those who let 28 other horses die.
Please sign and share our petition to:
Tell Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Lassen County to AUTHORIZE medical treatment and REIMBURSE The Grace Foundation for all costs associated with the care of the 42 Lassen horses.
Ask Government agencies to intervene and investigate the actions of Wells Fargo, Bank of America and Lassen County Officials and hold them accountable for their actions and potential crimes committed regarding the removal, relinquishment and transfer of the horses on August 26, 2011.

My name is Cowboy, I am two years old and this is my story. For over two years Lassen County Officials investigated suspicions of animal cruelty at the Whispering Pines ranch in Susanville, California, where my mom and approximately 70 other horses resided. During their two year investigation, 28 horses died on the property. Lassen County officials didn’t want the heavy financial burden of seizing and caring for my mom and her friends. Letting us die, saved them money.
In July of 2011, Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America Officials began the process of foreclosing upon The Whispering Pines ranch. Believing there was a thriving horse boarding business at Whispering Pines, they asked the courts to appoint a “Receiver”. She became the legal caretaker of the horses, representing the Banks, and they agreed to pay her $190.00 per hour for her services. Once the Banks realized there was no income being generated from a business to offset the costs of our care, they didn’t want us around anymore. They then contacted The Grace Foundation, a non-profit animal rescue organization, asking for immediate assistance.
On August 26, 2011, Lassen County and the Banks' Receiver signed 'Final Disposition' papers that gave The Grace Foundation ownership of my mom and 31 of her friends. The Grace Foundation planned to find us our forever homes as quickly as possible.
The Grace Foundation didn't find out until AFTER the papers were signed and the horses were already removed from Lassen County, that our former owner had filed for Bankruptcy, seven days prior to our removal. Filing for Bankruptcy creates an automatic stay that should have stopped the horses from being transferred to The Grace Foundation. But, Lassen County, the Banks and the Receiver went forth with the transfer anyway, knowing they didn’t have the legal authority, and in doing so, would be a violation of the law and two court orders.
In October of 2011, our former owner was finally charged with 70 counts of animal cruelty. The Grace Foundation was assured by Lassen County Officials that we were not a part of those criminal charges and that Grace did have ownership of my mom and the other horses, but we now know this to be a lie.
Luckily, we've been able to stay at The Grace Foundation for almost THREE YEARS. Our friends at Grace have provided all of our food and care without any financial help from the responsible parties throughout this time. But it has been hard for Grace to take care of us all, and this has financially devastated them. They have done everything in their power to legally get Lassen County and the Banks to do what they are obligated to do, however dozens of emails and calls for help have gone ignored.
In January of 2014, we finally learned that my friends and I ARE named as evidence in the criminal charges filed by Lassen County against our former owner. Lassen County's District Attorney and other officials have lied and withheld this information from The Grace Foundation for over 2 years. Now that we know we are evidence for a criminal trial, it means that by law, Lassen County is responsible for authorizing our medical treatment and paying for our daily feed and care.
Unfortunately, Lassen County and the Banks have refused to acknowledge their responsibility. They won't provide our Veterinarian with authorization for medical treatment if one of us gets injured or sick, even though they know their negligence could cause us to die.
The saddest day of my life came a couple of days ago when we were told that after three years, we may have to go back to Lassen County, because The Grace Foundation can’t authorize our medical treatment if we get injured. Nor can they afford to pay thousands of dollars each month for our feed and care. Not only are we in danger, but the 150 other rescued animals and the organization that has helped so many, are in danger too.
Without money, medical authorization or ownership of us, The Grace Foundation, with no other choice, has alerted the responsible parties that they can no longer provide for our care. The parties will finally get the opportunity to rid themselves of this problem.
Please don't let us go back to Susanville and into the hands of the people that have already let 28 of my friends die! Officials from Lassen County have stated on record that if we're returned to the county, we will be euthanized!!
DON'T LET 42 INNOCENT HORSES SUFFER AND DIE!
Please sign and share our petition DEMANDING that Lassen County, Wells Fargo Bank and Bank of America:
REIMBURSE The Grace Foundation for all costs and fees associated with the horses' care.
AUTHORIZE veterinary treatment and care for the horses.
From the bottom of our hearts, Thank you for giving us a voice,
Cowboy
