The rapid growth in Fairfax County especially around George Mason University (Fairfax Campus) has raised the level of safety to an unacceptable level for the entire community.  Current estimates reflect an estimated 70,000 vehicles traveling on Braddock Road everyday with that number increasing daily.  Now imagine crossing a major highway with books, groceries, computer, bicycle, stroller, baby, person with a disability, children or an elderly person.  In addition, factor in a campus event or the weather like rain, snow, or freezing rain and you have a situation that is extremely dangerous for anyone.  In order to promote and sustain a safe environment we must insist that the county implement a pedestrian bridge(s) or speed table(s) or raised intersection(s) with plenty of street lights at the following locations.

- University Drive and Ox Road / Route 123

- Braddock Road and Ox Road / Route 123

- Braddock Road and Roberts Road

- Braddock Road and Sideburn Road
