By signing this petition I am stating my intention to vote in the UK General Election for the political party that commits in their election manifesto to end the selective discrimination of frozen UK State pensions.
The Issue
The practice of freezing the UK state pension, depending on which country the pensioner chooses to live, is arbitrary, illogical and discriminatory. People who paid into the state pension scheme should be free to retire wherever they wish, without the punitive policy of having their pensions frozen if they choose the wrong country. The policy is not only morally indefensible, but also actually costs the UK money.
