Please help reduce the demand for elephants' tusks and other exotic, endangered animal products and sign my petition "Halt the sale of ivory and animal products online" .

In 2009, eBay released a blog post to say that they would instate a worldwide ban on the sale of ivory products, beginning on January 1st, 2009. They "feel this is the best way to protect the endangered and protected species from which a significant portion of ivory products are derived."  However, the sale still continues...

With the aid of online websites such as eBay, it has become increasingly easier for people across the word to trade not only ivory but other exotic animal products such as skins, powdered organs and the like. Please sign this petition to urge online stores such as eBay to prohibit the sale of exotic animal prodcts online.

Did know you know that The World Wildlife Fund estimates that 20,000 elephants are killed for their tusks each year? The figures for 2013 have not yet been released, but probably are of the same magnitude as before. “Blood ivory” poachers ply their trade from the killing fields of the African savanna to the major markets in Asia. Decades of poor policy have resulted in dead elephants littering the African landscape.

With your signature, we can hopefully once and for all put a stop to the horrendus sale of ivory and animal products online.
