Don’t shut Noah’s nursery

Don’t shut Noah’s nursery

The Issue

Dear sir or madam,

it’s come to my attention that Brooke school in rugby have decided to shut one of the last special needs nurseries.

now I do understand that there are other mainstream schools out there along with winks training schemes, but not many specialise in special needs.

This nursery has been there for years and now with 3 weeks notice and unanswered questions they have told us it is closing.

why? No reasons as of yet to tell us why our children don’t matter and why our children won’t get the correct help and support they need.

Many families are outraged and left anxious and uneasy not knowing how this is going to affect their children and themselves.

Why should we have to fight for our children that do not have a voice. This is disgusting and we should of had more time and thought into how this will affect us.

My son attends Brooke nursery and has another year ahead of him. He will not cope with this change and what does this mean for me as a parent… distress and upset because in theory we only want what’s best for our children. Never mind my current work commitments as I now have no care for my son. I know this is the same for many others.

I need you to understand the great strains we endure with our children that need extra time and support. It isn’t fair that we have to fight for our children to be seen!!!

Special needs children need this and I think Brooke school is one of the best. My son attended a mainstream nursery and he was ignored and I had phone call after phone call. Not once has my son come home unhappy since attending Brooke Nursery. He loves going to nursery and is excited to go everyday, this wasn’t the case at the other nursery he attended. I have seen him improve in so many ways since being at Brooke. His speech, eye contact, routines and overall social confidence has gone from strength to strength because of what Brooke community have done for him. Due to you now closing the nursery this will have huge detrimental impact on his health and well-being, it isn’t acceptable.

This has upset so many parents that strongly depend on the friendly kind children focused staff at Brooke.

I hope you listen to me and others who I know lives have changed in a good way due to the Nursery. We Are all crying out for help.

If Brooke remains open my son and other children with special needs will continue to  grow and be seen in a world that chooses to ignore.

ARE YOU WITH ME?? ARE YOU WITH US?

Thank you,
