As of today, only a digital release of the upcoming "Sonic Mania" videogame is planned. I think that many people would really like to have the chance to purchase a physical media such as a CD-ROM or a DVD-ROM, because not everyone likes Steam. I just want to insert the disc in my computer and play, no strings attached. Besides, collectors would probably like to archive a boxed version of the game in their collections, it's weird that the "collector edition" (which is indeed planned) doesn't include a physical release, either.

This is quite possibly the best Sonic game in the last two decades, I think that everyone should be able to purchase it and enjoy it. Not making a physical release is a bad strategy on Sega's part, and I hope we can let them know with this petition.

Also, even though the American branch of Sega is the primary recipient of this petition, it would be nice if Sega of Europe gets the message too in case a physical release will actually happen, to avoid the need to import it from overseas.
