This petition calls for justice for a 15-year-old cat named Pudge who was allegedly stolen from his home and stabbed to death with a pair of scissors by 3 teens in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Charged are Zachary Allen McKinnon, 18; Wendell Mack Mah, 18; and a 14-year-old male who cannot be named under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

This petition requests that Crown Counsel proceed with these charges as indictable offences and that, if someone is convicted of animal cruelty in relation to this cat’s death, Crown Counsel recommend, and the honourable sentencing judge apply, the maximum sentence available, including a lifetime ban on owning animals in accordance with the relevant legislation.
