At present Cornwall Council is in the process of borrowing £600 million pounds to fund ''growth''.

YES THAT IS SIX HUNDRED MILLION POUNDS TO ADD TO AN ALREADY COLOSSAL DEBT AND PENSION DEFICIT MOUNTAIN THAT WE ARE EXPECTED TO REPAY.

In reality this means subsidising developers to build tens of thousands of houses that very few Cornish people can afford whilst virtually ignoring vital infrastructure provision such as community hospitals and minor injury units that act as a safety valve for the ever more stretched district RCHT Treliske.

TRY NOT TO GET SICK IN CORNWALL.

According to Cornwall Council extensive surveys confirmed that 80% of these new homes were going to local buyers, a recent freedom of information request revealed that no surveys had  actually been conducted.

THIS IS YET ANOTHER LIE PROMULGATED BY CORNWALL COUNCIL.

European funding has been wasted on various vanity projects that benefit very few while the last straw is the recent cabinet decision to give £8.7 million to the Duke of Cornwall (who is one of the worlds richest men) to ''unlock'' his massive Nansleden housing project to the east of Newquay.

THE DUCHY OF CORNWALL IS RAPING CORNWALLS FARMLAND.

Cornish Solidarity feels at this point in time that enough really is enough and that Cornwall Council should be called to account for its disastrous performance.
