I want to start by saying that I love Clif bars. They are delicious and good value for money. I've preached about them to many people.

But I can't eat them anymore. Or speak any praise.

You see, one of the first ingredients in this bar is palm kernel oil. As a company that prides itself on creating food that is good for our bodies and for the planet, it's shocking that this is an ingredient. 

Palm oil, in any of its forms, is wreaking havoc on nature and animals. Especially orangutans. Growing it and harvesting it is killing them because palm oil cultivation is leading to deforestation and loss of natural habitat.

The orangutans and other animals have nowhere else to go.

But we have alternatives to palm oil.

By using palm oil, you're hurting them. One baby orangutan had its fingers chopped off in the name palm oil (http://www.viralnova.com/orangutan/).

This is not okay. If you agree, please sign this petition. 

Tell Clif Bar Company that to stop participating in this cruelty by way of including palm oil in their products.  

Palm oil is not good for people. Or the planet. And it's especially terrible for critically endangered orangutans and Sumatran tigers. It's good for nothing.

Please stop the use of palm oil. There are alternatives.
