Rumney library, as well as lending books, acts as a point of contact for many local people. The staff are always welcoming and friendly and will try and answer any question. The local councillors hold open meetings there and the local community police officers are also often in attendance offering advice to all. The staff will help you out with the computers whether you are an inexperienced youngster or a "silver surfer". 

The library is also where you go for recycling bags. 

if Rumney library is closed, the nearest alternative is in Llanrumney, nearly a 2 mile walk away; too far for some of the older users of Rumney library.
