Without better support from our governing body, British Skydiving, UK PTOs are facing the real possibility of closing due to the Corona virus lockdown and social distancing measures. We have asked Council repeatedly for assistance and told them what we need in order to get through this and although they have facilitated some support, it still falls short of what is needed.

The grants we are asking for equate to a maximum expenditure of less than 12% of the entire £3.4 million reserves of British Skydiving (and not all DZ's will ask for help). Any money borrowed through British Skydiving loans will be paid back into Membership coffers.

We would like you to support us, by calling for a General Meeting to put the following yes or no proposal to the membership by means of an electronic ballot. That in addition to the money set aside for interest free loans:

“Should British Skydiving use membership reserves to fund grants of £5000 per month, up to a maximum of £15,000 per qualifying PTO?”

If you have paid your renewal for this year you can do this by signing this petition, we need 10% of the membership to support us. Once we have enough signatures we can present this to Council.

We would not be asking this if the situation hadn't become critical so quickly.
