• Woods Coffee drive-through orders put customers within 6ft of employees.
• Woods is encouraging people to buy to "add a bit of normalcy to your life."
• CDC has strongly recommended wearing masks now. Woods employees cannot.

"The Washington State Department of Health and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention now recommend that people wear cloth face coverings when they are in public settings where they cannot maintain 6 feet of distance from others. This might include trips to the grocery store, pharmacy, hardware store, health clinic or similar places."

If Wes Herman and the Woods Coffee are allowed to serve as an essential business - they are putting first responders, nurses, doctors, and healthcare workers directly at risk. Because they are not practicing social distancing. They are not wearing masks. They are not required to switch gloves between orders. It's proven this disease can be spread asymptomatically. 

There have been multiple deaths already in the city where Woods coffee is headquartered.

Owner has a previous fraud conviction. Endangering workers and public to make money now?

The widespread impact of Woods staying open could be absolutely devastating. During this outbreak, infecting doctors, nurses, police, and real Essential workers could exponentially increase the death toll.

Woods employees are not changing gloves between orders. They have hundreds of people coming through drive-throughs. They are handling large amounts of cash, where CoronaVirus lives for hours. There's no social distancing between employees - it is not possible. There's no masks worn - As the CDC recommends. There's no social distancing in drive-through orders. Because customer has to be close enough to pay. 

This is a disaster occurring right now.

This needs to be stopped immediately. We must stop the spread. Now is when we need to act. Now is when we need to ask the Woods Coffee to do the responsible thing, and stop putting the community and entire country in danger. 

We must stop the spread of CoronaVirus to essential workers. More than 1,400 NYPD police officers have tested positive for the virus. 

12 NYPD members have already died from CoronaVirus. 

More than 20% of NYPD's entire workforce is out sick right now.

We cannot risk the lives of our doctors and police and nurses especially right now. All infections of nurses, doctors, and police run the risk of exploding this pandemic exponentially. 

This needs to stop now: "Still trying to figure out your new routines? Add a bit of normalcy to your life with your coffee fix. We are continuing to operate at all but *three locations (noted below). All drive-thru locations are open, and you can come into our lobbies for take-out orders only." You are endangering the public and your unmasked employees. There's no social distancing in transactions between customers and employees. 

Please consider the life of an elderly person you may save by sharing this. Now consider the life of a police officer you may save by sharing this. Now think of the lives of our nurses and doctors you may save by sharing this now.

Please do the right thing Woods Coffee and close down immediately. You are endangering employees, citizens, first responders, nurses, doctors, all healthcare workers, and the elderly. Please stop this now.
