The Pune civic administration has finalized tenders worth Rs 320 crore for the proposed Paud Phata-Balbharati link road, which will be issued in a couple of weeks from 9 March 2023. "The tenders for the road project have been finalized and will be issued in a couple of weeks. The proposed road will have a major elevated section," said VG Kulkarni, head of the road department of the Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC).

Some of the important questions remain unanswered by PMC are as below - 

1. PMC has not published their environment, traffic report on their website or have not made it public anywhere.
2. cost analysis of how they arrived at 250 crore budget for this project on their website or not made public
3. About 14,000 crores are being spent on Metro in Pune, ridership is already in question and before spending another 250 crore are planned to spend on this project by damaging tekdi, why PMC has not carried out study of impact of fully functional metro on traffic or law college road?
4. Number of trees that will be cut by PMC for this project to be made public. 
5. PMC should give in writing that underground water level will not be affected due to this project as already Pune-4, Karve road and surrounding areas are facing severe water challenges and many households are dependent on boring.
