Currently, Apple has released an official iOS 7 for all iOS devices, resulting in changing of the Thai TTS of VoiceOver from “Narisa” to “Kanya for Thai users.” Typically, the new Thai TTS “Kanya” does not produce pleasant experience in reading text in Thai language for most Thai users. That is, there are many reading errors found, in addition to the dissatisfied sound quality. The pronunciation is also quite hard to understand in some words. Actually, the previous Thai TTS “Narisa” has a nice sound and reading quality, even though some reading errors are apparent. As a result, the Thai TTS “Kanya” should be improved more than this. At least, it should be as good as “Narisa” or even better. .
