Facebook: Add animal abuse to reporting & deleting criteria for animal cruelty pages

Facebook: Add animal abuse to reporting & deleting criteria for animal cruelty pages

The Issue

The animal abuse pages on FaceBook are graphic and sickening to the average Facebook member. They show (mostly) dogs being beheaded, boiled alive, beaten, starved to death, and many other horrid things. These pictures are repugnant to the "average" FaceBook user and do nothing but showcase sick minds and allow the abusers to gain notoriety.

There are processes by which one can report violent, hate-filled pages, and they will be removed. In the drop-down menu of reasons to report or delete the page, there is no mention of animals, yet you can see graphic pictures from FaceBook pages "Dogs Suck", "I hate Pit Bulls" "Kill Dogs" and a host of dogfighting pages.

Please add "animal abuse" to your reporting and deletion criteria, and please take it seriously. Facebook takes from 5-10 minutes to reject animal abuse pages, and about 3-4 months for human obscenity. This tells me that Facebook is automatically rejecting any reports of animal abuse without even considering the request.
