YDFM uses plastic bags to wrap their organic produce as a way to distinguish from conventional produce. They carry such a great selection of organic produce, at an affordable price, but by the time you arrive home, your surrounded by an unbearable amount of plastic. There are many other ways to separate organic from non organic, plastic must be the least environmentally friendly way to do so. I choose to buy organic because I have an awareness that the quality and nutritional content of organic is better then conventional and I also have an awareness that plastic, which contains unknown amount of chemicals, including BPA, is creating an air tight vacuum, smothering my happy food! The bottom line is that the plastic bags surrounding the produce is wasteful, and though there "may" be a way to recycle the bags, the increase of plastic packaging only leads to more consumption of it, which is really symptomatic of a much larger issue of our culture. But please YDFM, as a faithful customer of yours for 12 years, please discontinue this practice!
