The intent of a 3 year probation ban on owning animals was clearly to keep Steve Croley from having animals in his care, not to keep him from owning a house. Judge Douglas chose to side with the defense and allow Croley to once again sidestep legal consequences for his actions.

express our outrage at his decision regarding Steve Croley
Greetings,
I just signed the following petition addressed to: Judge Robert Douglas, Youngstown OH Municipal Court Judge.
----------------
express our outrage at his decision regarding Steve Croley
We, the undersigned, wish to express our outrage at Judge Douglas' 1-11-12 decision regarding Steve Croley's probation violation accusations. The justice system in Ohio originally failed the dogs who died at High Caliber K-9 Kennels as a result of the actions of Steve Croley, and that same justice system has failed again. The intent of Croley's probation ban on owning animals was clearly to keep him from having animals in his care. The defense of not owning his home was a slick maneuver designed to keep him from facing consequences for his actions. Shame on you, Judge Douglas, for allowing it to work and allowing him to leave your courtroom without any repercussions at all. You had the opportunity to do what was right and instead allowed Croley to thumb his nose at Ohio's justice system again. We hope Youngstown voters remember this decision when you are up for re-election. Your actions today make it clear you do not care about animals or about justice.
Sincerely,
[Your name]
