Write Congress and The President Calling for the Resignation of Tim Geithner

The Issue

Arianna Huffington: Tim Geithner's actions throughout his career, including his time as Treasury Secretary, are proof that the toxic thinking that got us into this mess is part of his DNA. That's why every proposal he comes up with is déjà vu all over again -- a remixed variation on the same tried-and-failed let-the-bankers-work-it-out approach championed by his predecessor, Hank Paulson. Geithner's Masters of the Universe, the people he still thinks are the ones we should turn to to save the day, are the same people who brought us here. And that is why Geithner either needs to go or keep his job but have his authority stripped and transferred to someone who does not share his Wall Street

Take the Steering Wheel out of Geithner's Hands

It is now perfectly clear that Tim Geithner does not have any new ideas about how to change the system so that it works.
For Paul Krugman, this "insistence on offering the same plan over and over again, with only cosmetic changes, is itself deeply disturbing. Does Treasury not realize that all these proposals amount to the same thing? Or does it realize that, but hope that the rest of us won't notice? That is, are they stupid, or do they think we're stupid?"

WE will not survive to bailout a dysfunctional system for much longer. Change means stopping doing old things that obviously do not work, things that got us into these messes in the first place.

Change means trying something new. Please find someone to replace Tim Geithner who can make REAL CHANGE,  who is not already part of the problem.

Thank you for your time.

Alan Schram:
Three Scenarios for the Geithner Plan

Alan Schram: What bothers me most is that we bet our financial system and the economic recovery on this plan, hailed as a panacea. It is never a good idea to bet the house on any grand scheme. Any system as complex and reflexive as the US economy is by definition unpredictable, and nobody could be confident this plan will work. If it fails, shattering the high hopes of so many, the price of disappointment will be immense. We will be with our back to the wall, facing another wave of panic. The very premise behind the plan is flawed. We insist on saving the banks, and refuse to admit most of them are impaired beyond hope.
