Recently, the franchise owner of a McDonald's sent his employees a letter with their paycheck stating that, "if the right people are elected we will be able to continue with raises and benefits at or above our present levels. If others are elected, we will not." It goes on to name 3 republican candidates the owner endorses.
This is clearly meant to intimidate these workers into voting a certain way, and that is unacceptable. It also seems to violate Ohio's election laws.
Please send Ohio's Attorney General a letter asking him to investigate this very serious case and prosecute the man responsible.

Please Investigate McDonald's Franchise Owner for Voter Intimidation
Greetings,
I recently learned that Paul Siegfried, the owner of a McDonald's franchise in Canton, Ohio, put campaign materials in with his employees paychecks. The materials, which seem to endorse three Republican candidates for Congress and Governor, also included threatening language. In it Siegfried writes, "if the right people are elected we will be able to continue with raises and benefits at or above our present levels. If others are elected, we will not."
I believe this is a violation of Ohio labor law and am writing to ask that you investigate the matter. If Siegfried did indeed violate labor law, he should be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. It is unacceptable to intimidate voters, especially using employment as a bludgeon. These workers should not be treated like this.
