Whether we like to admit it or not, animal cruelty is rife within our community. There is no centralised resource that we can turn to in order to ensure that a person we wish to employ within the animal industry, or to gift or sell and animal to, has not been convicted of an animal cruelty offence. This is why we need a register, to protect animals from further offences.
