Even so, the federal government does not recognize such legal arrangements.  This creates many disadvantages for couples when they pay income taxes or want to move out of the state in which their partnership is legally recognized.

Dear Representative

Hi.  Please.  Respect the will of the people!  A recent poll showed that 69% of Americans approve either marriage or civil unions between committed persons of the same sex. Even so, the federal government does not recognize such legal arrangements.  This creates many disadvantages for couples when they pay income taxes or want to move out of the state in which their partnership is legally recognized.

It is time to lift these restrictions and allow the full exercise of states rights and individual liberties in accordance with the Constitution.&nbsp; Thanx.&nbsp; Goodbye.</p>
