GIVE JOHN CHEVILOTT HIS JOB BACK

GIVE JOHN CHEVILOTT HIS JOB BACK
The Issue
The free world demands it. In a day and age where it is hard to find a job, let alone keep good employees John Chevilott was fired for being a good samaratian. Here is an excerpt from MSN News.
Groundskeeper John Chevilott was mowing a Detroit lawn on May 3 when he found a loaded gun hidden among weeds. After "securing" the weapon, he waited for police to drive past -- but when they didn't, he took the gun home and dropped it off at the station later that night. His reward? He was fired. Wayne County Department of Public Services cited reasons including a policy against employees possessing weapons at work -- even Chevilott's foreman was suspended because he knew about the incident. "All I did was secure the situation to make sure nobody else got hurt or killed," said Chevrillot, who was two years shy of retirement and is hoping to get his job back.
