All religious/spiritual and civilized people should be aghast and horrified with the slaughter and skinning of this rare animal, which is sacred to the Lakota people.

Whether this was done for profit or as an ignorant act of vandalism, this crime needs wider attention and deeper punishment for the people who committed it.
