The House of Representatives is voting THIS WEEK to adopt a so-called Continuing Resolution on the federal budget.  This bill has been highjacked by anti-wilderness, anti-wildlife, and anti-clean air interests.  The 700+ amendments to the bill attempt to prevent the EPA from protecting public health, strip endangered species of critical protections, and zero out budgets to protect wildlife habitat. Trimming federal spending is certainly needed, but these provisions do not lower the federal deficit. They are handouts to special interests like the coal industry, and in many cases they will cost us millions in public health impacts and damage to natural resources.
