Urge your Representative to END INHUMANE ICE RAIDS

Stop the Raids

President Obama himself has said that immigration raids "terrorize" our communities.  Please write your representative today and urge him or her to encourage President Obama to order a stop to the raids.

On Tuesday February 24, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) executed the first worksite raid under the Obama administration in Bellingham, WA. Seventy-five heavily armed ICE agents accompanied by a hovering helicopter arrested and chained 28 workers, including three mothers with young children, at the Yamato Engine Specialists factory.

Thus far, legal advocates tell us that they have not been able to reach ICE to determine where these individuals are being detained.

Such aggressive, intimidating, and indiscriminate raids violate our communities, terrorize workers, and undermine fundamental rights of due process and access to legal counsel. Legal arrests can be accomplished in a humane and focused manner; the raids must stop.
