The West Virginia House of Delegates has the opportunity to pass HB2045 that would prohibit discrimination in housing, employment, public accomodations and finance on the basis of sexual orientation.  The Senate also has the opportunity to vote on SB225

HB2045 is currently being held up by House leaders that say there aren't enough votes to pass the measure.  Stephen Skinner, President of Fairness West Virginia said, "seems paralyzed at times in their inability to deal with issues related to their gay and lesbian constituents." "I believe that the votes are actually there."

The leadership must allow an up or down vote on the measure and at least give it a chance of passage!
