Urge Mr. Eric Holder to prosecute FEMA and the State of Mississippi.

The Issue

The Federal Emergency Management Agency manages natural disasters as well as man made disasters and utilizes billions of taxpayer dollars in the course of their duties. They stabilize affected areas and assess the needs of the poorest of the poor, elderly and disabled who cannot defend themselves. This is supposed to be done on a case by case basis. A male caretaker of two terminally ill family members was granted a federal appeal and to date, NO SERVICES ever rendered. One family member died in 2008 with no hospice. An alleged conspiracy has been uncovered in the State of Mississippi involving FEMA. The integrity of this federal entity is in question. "we the people" have a right to know what happened, when and why it happened, and what will be done to ensure it will never happen again.

James McGee Jr.Petition StarterI have been a caretaker for two terminally ill family members since 1994. My mother who passed away from end-stage Alzheimer's disease in 2008 was tough. My best friend, my mentor and my inspiration. I promised to care for her until the end and that promise was fulfilled. She may still be here today if the federal government and the state of Mississippi would have only assisted her with hospice after hurricane Katrina. That did not happen because of my sexual orientation. The battle is far from over.
