Urge congress to create harsher punishments in animal abuse cases

Urge congressional leaders and other congressional members to allow judges to sentence animal abusers with harsher punishments.
Linsey MatthewsPetition StarterI am an 20 y/o writer from Maryland. I am an human and animal rights supporter/ activist. I am willing to dedicate my life to the rights of those around me for the sake of justice and peace, although, sometime these two do come at the expense of one another and at the expense of the safety of some. I wish to correct what is wrong with the C.J.S. and make the world a better and safer place for my future children/ animals and the children/ animals of the future. If we do not progress towards a brighter future now, then when? Now is the time to change for us, for those of the future, and to those who have contributed to a brighter future in past years. It is up to us and I for one intend to do my part to better myself and the world I live in until the day I die.
