The goal of this petition is to require any company that uses injection fracking as a way of extracting natural gas to formally declare what chemicals they use, the human and environmental impact these chemicals have. Hold them to high standards of civic responsibility that places strict liability on these companies for any damages linked to any activities of company, it's employes and contractors during exploration, extraction and transportation of natural gas.

There are currently millions in danger of ingesting known carcinogenesis that are introduced into the water supply from waste water from the act of Fracking. Which is when companies use blast a slurry of chemicals (they are not legally obligated to disclose what those chemicals are) deep underground to extract Natural Gas. That water is often disposed of in indiscriminate of environmental/ public health concerns

The Natural Gas industry is a vital resource for America and has the potential to free us from dependence on Foreign Oil. Unfortunately though, they are severely under-regulated and many towns across the country are already seeing devastating effects such as cancer clusters and even being able TO LIGHT THEIR OWN TAP WATER ON FIRE!!!! If we let this potentially great industry grow unchecked, America is likely to experience environmental consequences worse than the recent Gulf Oil Spill across where ever Fracking takes place.
