The economics department of UWS includes Steve Keen, one of the few economists in the world who called the 2008 Global Banking crisis before it happened. Steve Keen has contributed more to economics (like hey guys - lets include debt in economics models) than anyone at Harvard, Stanford or any of the other schools that are owned and operated by big finance, for big finance. That UWS would be trying to cut the whole department (including Steve Keen) is outrageous.
