To protect the safety of UAL students and staff who cycle the Elephant and Castle roundabout and the King's Cross gyratory to access Central St Martins and London College of Communication, we, the undersigned, would like to request that the management of University of the Arts London (UAL) lobby Transport for London (TfL) to prioritise the redevelopment of these notoriously dangerous interchanges.

We suggest that TfL’s attention should be drawn towards London Cycling Campaign’s Go Dutch initiative as an illustration of potential solutions.

An alternative solution for Elephant and Castle, in the meantime, would be to extend Cycle Superhighway Seven so it encircles the roundabout completely.
