The MALL currently operates under the following schedule:

Monday – Thursday: 9 am – 9 pm

Friday: 9 am – 6 pm

Saturday: CLOSED

Sunday: 1:00 pm – 6:00 pm

Given the notoriously abnormal schedules of many college students, the limitations of the operating hours are too constricting. Most college students have many things going on at one time, and these hours are usually either impossible, impractical, or just inconvenient. I want people to stand with me in requesting the University of Central Florida and the Department of Mathematics extend their hours to further enable UCF students to fulfill math class work requirements. 

Too many times, I've thought to myself on a Saturday, "I have free time today, I should go get my MALL hours done." Unfortunately, the first time I thought this, I walked to the MALL only to find locked doors. I am not certain, but I assume that the University or whomever pays the MALL employees to be there can afford to hire the extra staff to work the hours that are currently not being utilized. Even if there was a small staff that only stood the purpose of checking people in and out and monitoring the students (which would be excluding the actual math tutors that are in the lab), it would make a world of difference for people who don't need help, and just want to get their work done. 

By signing this petition, you are standing with me and the rest of the UCF student body in saying that you want the MALL's operating hours to be extended.
