This is a big corporation riding roughshod over the little guy. Universal Studios took over admin of Charles E Butler's page because they have copyright of the'Dracula' name. They gave no warning of this, nor gave Mr Butler a chance to change the name, or edit his page of anything in breach of copyright. He has tried various ways of contacting them to say that he is happy to do just that. Universal Studios have given no response. He has put in hours of work with his own reviews and illustrations. The page looks at the portrayal of Dracula through the ages and has a large following. Mr Butler is not out to make millions - he simply invests his time in something he is interested and passionate about. The laughable thing is that if anything Mr Butler's work actually promotes interest in previous Universal Studio's films!

Recently you took over administration of Charles E Butler's ‘Dracula’ tribute page, because as a studio you have copyright of the 'Dracula' name. Whilst we acknowledge this as your right, we the signatories feel it was unfair to give no warning of this, nor give Mr Butler a chance to change the name, or edit his page of anything in breach of copyright. He has tried various ways of contacting you to say that he is happy to do just that, but has heard nothing in return. As a result he has lost hours of work, including his own reviews and illustrations. Mr Butler is not out to make money - he simply invests his time in something he is interested and passionate about. We politely request that you enter a dialogue with Mr Butler about any changes he needs to make so that he can retrieve administration of his page - or at the very least return his original work.
