My step-dad Hasan H. M. Hasan is detained under section 237 (a)(1)(C)(i) of the Act- alien who failed to maintain conditions of his visa. Currently, in the system, my step-dad has been granted “stay of removal”. Furthermore, under section 305, “an alien not removed within 90 day removal period is subject to release on supervision, ...”

My step-dad has been detained for 4 months now! If you take a look in the system, he doesn’t have criminal background. Not only that, he doesn’t have passport actually he doesn’t have paperwork to get one. Recently, he filed motion to fight deportation; he is married to a caring and beautiful U. S. citizen lady and has extraordinary U.S. citizen children; he has impressive friends.

So, he is not a risk to community, not a flight risk, or not unlikely to comply. What is the problem? This is unfair! My step-dad deserves the same rights as other non-immigrants that were released within 90 day removal period! Be fair. This is America!
