The Success Center has recently purchased a tank for a saltwater reef aquarium, but it has not been approved by UCC. The students in the Success Center, however, have encouragingly displayed THEIR approvoal. Based on the approval from this one portion of the UCC student body, I am asking the rest of UCC what they think - that's you!

Our petition will help to create an all-day, calming and relaxing enviroment to relieve stress and anxiety. Research shows that, along with promoting an overall sense of wellbeing, when someone feels less stress or anxiety they have more energy to focus on necessary tasks.

This petition will also help to strengthen the voice of student representation on campus, and encourage future calls-to-action.

Many students at UCC feel as though we are under-represented. We can feel the things that affect us, and we notice the things we would like to see improved, but we often fail to capitalize in the form of action. It is important for current students to demand a presence while they are here, but crucial that they create a stronger presence for future UCC students.

By signing this petition you are promoting not only the approval of a reef tank (these are pretty freaking awesome), but the strength of the UCC student body.
