The UMass Boston administration is proposing that daily parking fees increase to $10 and up. Increasing parking fees when parking is inadequate is outrageous. This is an increased cost to students when education is unaffordable and debt loads unsustainable. This reduces the pay of staff who cannot afford these high fees. The administration is also proposing to deny their employees the right to bargain over parking. This is an attack on unions and workers.

Signing this petition states that you agree with the following: 

"We the students, staff, faculty and community oppose any increase in parking fees. We call on the university to withdraw its proposal to increase parking fees."
