When President Barack Obama was inaugurated in 2009, several conservative Tea Party groups (Heritage Foundation, Tea Party Patriots, Club for Growth, Americans for Prosperity, Citizens United, FreedomWorks, Generation Opportunity and Young Americans for Liberty), along with Charles and David Koch, began meeting in secret, planning the current government shut down as well as to destroy the "full faith and credit" of the United States by not increasing the debt limit. 

What these Tea Party Groups and the Koch brothers are doing is "sedition," which is "conduct or speech inciting people to rebel against the authority of a state or monarch." It is treason, for which they should be charged and tried.

Families who, through no fault of their own, need government assistance are not receiving that assistance; families of deceased military are not receiving death benefits; over 350,000 federal employees are still furloughed; and the effects of the shut down are now beginning to effect cities across the U.S.

I am asking everyone who has been following the news about the shut down and debt ceiling "non-negotiations" to sign this petition, asking the Justice Department to start an investigation. These groups and billionaire brothers have to know that there are consequences for their actions – consequences that could put them behind bars. If we, as citizens, speak up with one loud voice, the essential employees remaining on the job at the Department of Justice can't help but hear us. Please sign!
