Tyler the Creator has harsh lyrics filled with disrespect towards women, rape, and homophobic remarks. However, people still continue to congratulate him on his music. He doesn't deserve the positive publicity he is getting, nor should anyone with such rude remarks. Those who defend him use the excuse of 'oh its just music'. To some, its not 'just music'. A lot of the time we take lyrics and their artists, weather we realize it or not, and start fitting them into our own lives, and many take huge offense towards them. He is setting a bad example and making the rap music industry look bad. 

He doesn't deserve a lot of negative hate because that would make us as bad as he is. But by simply joining together, we can help spread more positive messages throughout the industry, and allow people who actually deserve attention because of their talents gain recognition.

I would also like to mention that Sara Quin is the one that inspired me to make this petition. You can read her letter about Tyler The Creator. (Much better written than mine. So if I didn't inspire you to sign, maybe her letter will)
